The 128th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was marked by a blood donation camp, here on Thursday. The event was held at Jeevadhara Blood Centre under the auspices of KMPK Trust. MLA for Krishnaraja T.S. Srivatsa inaugurated the camp.
He said it was not enough to celebrate the birth anniversary of Netaji but people should also imbibe his ideals and values and adopt them in their daily life.
City BJP President L. Nagendra said Netaji’s role in the freedom struggle was of epic proportion, and he did not compromise on his ideals. He fought relentlessly against the exploitation of his countrymen.

K. Raghuram Vajpayee, who engaged in social service, said students should draw inspiration from the works of Netaji and imbibe the patriotic values of the leader who established the Indian National Army. Students should cultivate the attitude of questioning and raising their voice against injustice, he added.
Around 40 donors came forward to donate blood on the occasion. The Director of Jeevadhara Blood Centre Mr. Girish and others were present.
